( I received these wonderful emails)
January 15, 2016. Hi up there Moose Maker,
Am not sure what made me “google” talking moose today but way back then I was a macintosh pioneer – I worked at GE when Applelink was being invented and had one of the first Macs ever. Wish I had kept the case with the signatures inside but oh well. All of you early Mac pioneers inspired me so and I eventually had my days at Apple working in Newton engineering which led to Palm which led to a nice run as an independent software developer. We were the lucky ones, weren’t we? Now I’m just a fiddler. Quite curious the course this life takes.
Anyway, just a quick note to say that your talking moose is one of the most endearing creatures ever. I liked him just the way he was – all pixely perfect – I miss him! One of these days I think I’ll dig out my old mac just so I can visit with him again. Can’t believe it was 30 years ago – what a new way of living we have all helped to create!
May 26, 2016. Hey, I’m so glad to learn the Moose has been revivified and by the original author. I first met Moose at a Boston Mac Developers Group conference shortly after you released the software in the late 80’s. He was widely admired by some of the cleverest developers I’ve ever known and became my constant companion on my Mac Plus. Can’t wait to have the new incarnation up and running again. Thanks so much for bringing him back!
Nov 21, 2015. Hi Steve. I love your Moose! Your moose is wonderfully artistic and charming. Having done this kind of thing myself, I really appreciate your work. Keep up the great work. yay Talking Moose. Chris Shaw.
