I had a closer look at FaceShift, and it is truly awesome. It is a pre-processing tool that saves animators a ton of time and money, it is making recordings, not running live real-time randomly continuous behaviors and instant text-to-speech. If wonder if superb quality faces like “Sven” are available for purchase/licensing? Its from a […]
I had to make a note of this. Mainframe2 will put any PC app, running in the cloud, with NVIDIA graphics, delivered to any device in a browser. That could be good. But if it costs 50 dollars a month, that could be bad.
This post is clearly ‘blogging’. I discovered 3D-avatar-store.com, and initially liked what I saw. My intent for this post, is to flatter them for their amazing store, and study what they can do, (particularly noting the things the moose can’t do), but also point out some of the things that the Moose does. […]
I’m just having a little fun, late at night, not thinking clearly. Thought this was funny. (turns out to be idea-stimulating)
This past week, from simply Connecting on LinkedIn to hundreds of very impressive people in the “Speech Community“, and learning more and more about what people are working on, something important must be talked about. EMOTIONAL CONNECTION is needed. When users Talk to their Car, or Talk to their Phone, or Talk to their PC, […]
Are we heading toward a future of “talk to the dot“?, by which I mean, glowing colored circles? Open the pod bay doors Hal. Siri actually has a great personality. Are we going to “talk to a beautiful woman” as a computer agent? Isn’t that ‘women objectified as servants‘? Are we going to talk to […]
When I saw “Kismet”, his ears reminded me of the Moose. Thus began a day of googling social robots. It may be presumptuous, but I think there must be similarities to coding: for a software Moose and a hardware character like Kismet. It’s coding the controls of the movement (position and rotation) of joints. It’s […]
From a Gamasutra story about GMIC Beijing, upcoming soon in May 2014, I found their website, and it lists names of people who do acquisitions for a lot of major companies. It seems that > 5 Billion was spent on acquisitions in just the first quarter of 2014. These guys doing the buying, should try […]
May 16, 2014 update. I think it’s important that every window in the Moose’s user interface, is stretchy and fun. April 3, 2014. We’re giving the Moose software, a custom window frame. Have a look.
I found this video of Guile3D’s Denise virtual assistant. It’s a good video. I bet you didn’t watch it all. I couldn’t tolerate the unnatural movements of Denise and her poorly-moving lips. The Moose has clearly leaped ahead in quality. Next in this post, you’ll see Reallusion CrazyTalk. Does it look tolerable, for daily use?
