Can you Beta test?

The first visitor who posted a comment on this site, offered to Beta test the newest Moose. That’s generous and kind, and some day I’ll seek out lots of beta testers, but at the moment, I’m not ready. The old VB6 version with the old 2D graphics, just isn’t fit for general distribution. I need the new 3D graphics working, before I’ll let a new version out.

But I might let the VB6 moose out for testing, if testers provide specific things in return that will help the project, (and agree to not distribute it). If you want to post a comment leaving your name and email, if you want to become a future beta tester, feel free. I’d suggest not giving an email in robot-harvestable format. So substitute ” at” in place of “@”.

Update Jan 25, 2011. Maybe in the nearer future, the VB6 moose might be beta-testable. So let me use this space below to start jotting down notes of things I’d like to get from a beta tester.
- At least one valuable new RSS feed or webpage, nicely working and giving the Moose something interesting to say… to build up the collection of immediately useful things the Moose can do.
- Word-of-mouth, like a promise to tell a few friends to check it out on social media.
- Testing this VB6 moose on Vista and Windows 7.
- Agree that anytime something crashes or shows an error message, that the beta tester will email right away, describing exactly what they were doing beforehand.
- What’s your profession? What’s the best RSS newsfeed for your type of job? I’d like to trade Beta-testing for usable feedback like that, so I can create a list of usable NewFeeds for the Moose to speak, pertinent to the users job.

Will you once again make a Mac version of the 3D moose?

BTW, where can I get the original Macintosh Classic Moose for download to use on my old Macintosh Colo(u)r Classic?

    Andrew.

Im thinking that a Mac version would follow the PC version, although, Im not sure. The PC version would need to have some fame and excitement and spreading and some return on my investments, before Id start paying for a conversion to other platforms.

finding a very old version, I have no idea. probably findable on a place like isohunt.com
