4. RegEx “Regular Expressions”

This is actually on the To-Do list, not built yet. But let me describe it in a simplistic way. “RegEx” are TOO COMPLICATED for normal people to use, so don’t even try to learn it.

Instead, do this. If there’s something on a webpage that is inside of a predictable pattern of surrounding characters, a RegEx might work to extract it, and discard everything else. But how?

You “Ask a geek”. That’s right. Find a geek and say something flattering. Then ask if they could create a “RegEx” to extract the thing you want, from the webpage. The Geek will spend a day working on it, and give you back a weird-looking string of crazy characters to Paste into the Moose’s RegEx field. That’s it.
