Update Mar 11: I realized that the Giraffe is a good model for the Talking Moose, because giraffe have a vertical neck, joining a short head, like the Talking Moose. So the Talking Moose is going to get Giraffe ears!
Mar 21 update. (sent Mar 14, but delayed to receive):
I think this needs further work, particularly to create a bunch of muscles at the base of the ear, along the bottom of the ear, where it attaches to the skull, in the area shown by the red arrows on the picture below.
But I think these ears, where the red arrows are pointing, are too wide in short-axis, but long-enough in long-axis. So shortening where the blue-lines are, on the graphic below, would help I think.
Mar 8 update: ( Click the image to see the animated gif, showing different positions of the ear.)
More from Mar 10: Here are more ears to study, of deer, moose, etc.

Basically, after a lot of effort, I’m going to give up on the fruitless quest for perky floppy puppy dog ears.
Mar 7 update:
Original post: I’ve been asking for an experiment to try to get a puppy dog floopy ear, on a moose, with curious perky appearance. So far, it’s only been ugly.
And here’s my friday afternoon attempt Mar 4:
The problem with my attempted Ear, is it look damaged or broken, not floppy in a healthy way.
April 4 update: This idea for baby giraffe ears has evolved. see subsequent posts http://talkingmoose.ca/?p=2136
